Mass Virtual is looking for multiple passionate game programmers who are interested in working with next-generation virtual reality training solutions. Candidates must have proven professional programming experience in video games, serious games, simulations and/or virtual reality and meet the following Minimum Required Qualifications.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of professional game, simulation or similar programming experience or the equivalent
  • Previous experience with game development tools and methods
  • Fluent in C# and/or C++
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to deliver in accordance with prescribed deadlines, on time and of high quality
  • Excellent oral and written English language skills
  • Able to self-manage and work in an environment of high autonomy
  • Able to take initiative and pay close attention to detail
  • Passion for developing high-level and unique features to meet customer needs and demonstrate the possibilities achievable

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a similar degree or comparable experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Unity and/or Unreal Engine
  • Experience in developing software for Virtual Reality
  • Proficient in 3D mathematics

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of new and existing features of game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine, content editor and tools
  • Work closely with Mass Virtual customers to design and implement new features
  • Have a general knowledge of the inner workings of game engines including rendering, physics, AI, sound and networking
  • Suggest, design and implement improvements to the inner workings of game engines
  • Produce code that is clear and structured, that coheres to coding standards, taking into account performance, maintenance and compatibility requirements of Mass Virtual customers
  • Document existing and new features for internal and customer reference
  • Support Mass Virtual customers by identifying and correcting software bugs

Mass Virtual is looking for a passionate program manager who is interested in working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment in Orlando, Florida with next-generation virtual reality training solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience managing Government (preferably DoD) training projects from proposal development to coordinating project activities and have a reputation for providing exceptional customer service, multi-tasking, problem solving and working independently with little supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a manager of DoD and other simulation and training/virtual reality development projects beginning with the proposal and taking multiple, simultaneous projects from award to completion
  • Responsible for budget, schedule, and labor resource allocation for all relevant projects
  • Create, analyze, and implement project plans
  • Work closely with project team to ensure appropriate staffing and successful execution of projects
  • Coordinate activities to ensure that all projects and deliverables are met on time and within scope
  • Ability to effectively communicate project milestones, status, and risks at all levels of the organization and with the customer
  • Identify growth opportunities within projects and programs in coordination with leadership and business development team
  • Identify teaming opportunities and solicitations that meet the company’s goals and objectives and present them to leadership
  • Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates; work with a proposal team to write, review and coordinate all proposal development activities from start to submission

Education & Skills:

Required:

  • Training in Business Administration/Proposal Development/Project Management or equivalent work experience
  • Experience simultaneously managing different projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience managing government projects with a preference for defense projects
  • Experience managing various contract types to include; Firm Fixed Price, Time and Materials, etc.
  • Experience with FAR, ITAR and Export regulations
  • Advanced Microsoft Office expertise, with a strong emphasis on Excel
  • Analytical problem solver and strong quantitative thinker who learns quickly
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize competing demands on your time
  • Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

Preferred:

  • Understanding of software development processes
  • Experience with software development projects
  • Experience and understanding of Defense Facility Security Clearance requirements (FSO certification is a bonus)

  • Provide and accept direction
  • Ensure that all aspects of art production are completed on a timely basis to a high standard
  • Understand and follow style guides to guarantee the consistency of assets
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high quality standard
  • Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude
  • Able to work creatively as part of a small group

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in game development
  • Strong knowledge of 3dsMax and Photoshop
  • Strong passion for making the highest quality assets
  • A portfolio or reel that demonstrates the above experience
  • Expert understanding of current game environment development processes, limitations and dependencies
  • Established interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to deliver and receive constructive feedback
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

  • Experience with CryENGINE or Virtual Attain, Unity and Unreal Engine
  • Mod experience
  • Experience developing a VR environment
  • Industrial design background

  • Strong artistic background
  • Heavy focus on photo-realistic art, high poly modeling and industrial design
  • Clear understanding of the normal map creation process and PBR
  • Clear understanding of efficient UV layout for low poly objects
  • Keen eye for detail and realism
  • Strong texturing skills

Responsibilities

  • Implement learning modules using game engine level editor and scripting language.
  • Proficient in level design layout, scripting events, 3D sound design, 2D design documentation and all things gameplay-related
  • Execute the learning design direction and be responsible for designing and building environment content from whitebox to final quality.
  • Provide level performance profiling and optimization passes
  • Take part in user testing sessions and ensure feedback is recorded, assessed, and applied.
  • Proactively solve issues and seek feedback to ensure your work is always the best it can be.
  • Work with stakeholders to assess needs and develop effective learning experience solutions across a variety of disciplines including Engineering, Design, Subject Matter Experts and more
  • Ensure your work meets technical standards and is bug free.
  • Work with asset developers to ensure consistent, high quality run-time performance is maintained
  • Approach complex challenges head-on, posses excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to discover, understand, and translate learning requirements into actionable items

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience as Level Designer
  • Working knowledge in Unity3D or Unreal Engine in both design and development
  • Programming/scripting experience in C#, LUA, Javascript, or other languages
  • Excellent sense for creating outstanding user experiences
  • Experience designing levels for multi-user environments
  • Strong spacial and layout skills
  • Excited, passionate, proactive and self-motivated
  • Must be able to adapt to new technologies
  • Good communication and writing skills

  • Experience in high detailed Virtual Reality environments
