DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Strong UI/UX design and development for learning desktop applications

Join our exceptional development team as a Technical 3D Artist. This role focuses on optimizations and working with shaders, materials, and post-processing effects. The employee will work extensively on helping the content team develop asset pipelines, maintain rigs, and optimize assets to meet budget requirements. Applicant must be highly motivated and organized, able to work as part of a large team, while communicating effectively with multiple disciplines. Responsibilities:

  • Jack-of-all-trades 3D artist with a broad skill set including: lighting, animation, rigging, environment art and VFX
  • Help improve shader, texture and lighting quality
  • Develop powerful and efficient workflows for the Art team
  • Collaborate with all members of the team to develop a long-term strategy to maintain and evolve the art workflows
  • Support the Animation team by maintaining rigs and the animation pipeline
  • Make recommendations on how to improve asset quality and art process productivity
  • Coordinate with all departments to achieve project goals

Required Qualifications:

Mass Virtual has an immediate opening for an Instructional Designer (Game/Level Designer) who has at least two years professional (outside college) experience designing levels for games, serious games, or VR/AR. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing creative layouts, scripting and sound design.

Responsibilities

  • Implement learning modules using game engine level editor and scripting language.
  • Proficient in level design layout, scripting events, 3D sound design, 2D design documentation and all things gameplay-related
  • Execute the learning design direction and be responsible for designing and building environment content from whitebox to final quality.
  • Provide level performance profiling and optimization passes
  • Take part in user testing sessions and ensure feedback is recorded, assessed, and applied.
  • Proactively solve issues and seek feedback to ensure your work is always the best it can be.
  • Work with stakeholders to assess needs and develop effective learning experience solutions across a variety of disciplines including Engineering, Design, Subject Matter Experts and more
  • Ensure your work meets technical standards and is bug free.
  • Work with asset developers to ensure consistent, high quality run-time performance is maintained
  • Approach complex challenges head-on, posses excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to discover, understand, and translate learning requirements into actionable items

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience as Instructional Designer (outside college)
  • Working knowledge in Unity3D or Unreal Engine in both design and development
  • Programming/scripting experience in C#, LUA, Javascript, or other languages

Candidates must have proven professional programming experience in video games, serious games, simulations and/or virtual reality and meet the following Minimum Required Qualifications.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of professional game, simulation or similar programming experience or the equivalent

  • Take ownership of new and existing features of game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine, content editor and tools

  • Suggest, design and implement improvements to the inner workings of game engines
