Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of new and existing features of the Virtual Attain engine, content editor and tools
  • Work closely with Mass Virtual customers to design and implement new features
  • Have a general knowledge of the inner workings of Virtual Attain including rendering, physics, AI, sound and networking
  • Suggest, design and implement improvements to the inner workings of Virtual Attain
  • Produce code that is clear and structured, that coheres to the Virtual Attain coding standards, taking into account performance, maintenance and compatibility requirements of Mass Virtual customers
  • Document existing and new features for internal and customer reference
  • Support Mass Virtual customers by identifying and correcting software bugs in Virtual Attain

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of professional game, simulation, academic or similar programming experience
  • Fluent in C++ (03) and STL
  • Proficient in 3D mathematics
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to deliver in accordance with prescribed deadlines, on time and of high quality
  • Excellent oral and written English language skills
  • Able to self-manage and work in an environment of high autonomy
  • Able to take initiative and pay close attention to detail
  • Passion for developing high-level and unique features to meet customer needs and demonstrate the possibilities achievable with Virtual Attain
  • Desire to join a fast-growing company in the Simulations and VR industry early on
  • Able to adapt to change

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a similar degree or comparable experience
  • Previous experience with game development tools and methods
  • Knowledge of C++ (11/14)
  • Knowledge of Lua scripting language and XML structure
  • Experience in Virtual Reality
  • Ability to obtain a Security clearance

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Art Director and other artists to ensure consistency between vision and implementation of environment and hard surface assets
  • Provide and accept direction
  • Ensure that all aspects of art production are completed on a timely basis to a high standard
  • Understand and follow style guides to guarantee the consistency of assets
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high quality standard
  • Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude
  • Able to work creatively as part of a small group

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in game development
  • Strong knowledge of 3dsMax and Photoshop
  • Strong passion for making the highest quality assets
  • A portfolio or reel that demonstrates the above experience
  • Expert understanding of current game environment development processes, limitations and dependencies
  • Established interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to deliver and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to gain a U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred:

  • Experience with CryENGINE or Virtual Attain, Unity and Unreal Engine
  • Mod experience
  • Experience developing a VR environment
  • Industrial design background
  • Knowledge of Maya

A portfolio or reel that demonstrates the following:

  • Strong artistic background
  • Heavy focus on photo-realistic art, high poly modeling and industrial design
  • Clear understanding of the normal map creation process and PBR
  • Clear understanding of efficient UV layout for low poly objects
  • Keen eye for detail and realism
  • Strong texturing skills
