Mass Virtual, Inc. is looking to hire an experienced accounting and finance manager with excellent organizational and analytical skills, who will be responsible for daily bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivables, payroll, assistance with and analysis of end-of-month, -quarter and -year financial statements, contract planning, analysis and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and other related duties as assigned. The selected individual will work closely with and report to the COO and serve as primary liaison with the company’s outside accounting provider.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement accounting and finance processes and procedures
  • Manage processes, utilizing the company’s outside accounting provider and internal staff to assure separation of duties and redundancy
  • Develop and manage annual and multi-year budgets that are adequate for the organization’s needs, including preparation of periodic budget forecasts
  • Prepare estimates and quotes and conduct analyses as requested in support of defense and commercial contracts
  • Prepare, maintain, and present cash flow analyses
  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows) and effectively convey analysis to staff as requested
  • Assist in preparing quarterly reporting to stockholders and board members
  • Assist in preparing year-end books for audit, as required
  • Ensure operational compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations for any necessary defense and commercial entities
  • Process vendor payments and check requests
  • Process employee reimbursements, manage employee credit card charges and analyze credit card accounts
  • Respond to inquiries from staff regarding budgets, deposits, disbursements, and contract analysis and reporting
  • Work with Project Management Team to develop/maintain Project Cost Reports
  • Process payroll through ADP and oversee payroll tax reporting for the organization
  • Prepare annual defense Incurred Cost Electronically (ICE) manual

                      • Suggest, design and implement improvements to the inner workings of game engines
                      • Produce code that is clear and structured, that coheres to coding standards, taking into account performance, maintenance, and compatibility requirements of Mass Virtual customers
                      • Document existing and new features for internal and customer reference

                        Technical 3D Artist 

                        Join our exceptional development team as a Technical 3D Artist. This role focuses on optimizations and working with shaders, materials, and post-processing effects. The employee will work extensively on helping the content team develop asset pipelines, maintain rigs, and optimize assets to meet budget requirements. Applicant must be highly motivated and organized, able to work as part of a large team, while communicating effectively with multiple disciplines. Include a link to your portfolio showing example rigs and tools.

                        Responsibilities:

                        • Jack-of-all-trades 3D artist with a broad skill set including: lighting, animation, rigging, environment art and VFX
                        • Help improve shader, texture and lighting quality
                        • Develop powerful and efficient workflows for the Art team
                        • Collaborate with all members of the team to develop a long-term strategy to maintain and evolve the art workflows
                        • Support the Animation team by maintaining rigs and the animation pipeline
                        • Make recommendations on how to improve asset quality and art process productivity
                        • Coordinate with all departments to achieve project goals

                        Required Qualifications:

                        • Portfolio of example rigs and tools
                        • 2+ years experience (outside college) as a technical artist in games or related industries
                        • Experience in AAA quality development
                        • Experience in Unity/Unreal workflows and best practices
                        • Team player with strong communication skills
                        • Strong art skills and deep understanding of modeling, shaders, texturing, animation, and lighting for games
                        • Strong knowledge of 3DS Max or Maya
                        • Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

                        Desired Qualifications:

                        • Strong Knowledge of Photoshop
                        • Expertise in content development for Unity
                        • Experience with VR / AR development
                        • Proficiency with using profiling tools such as PIX
                        • Experience working with shaders and materials; creation and optimization
                        • Experience with scripting and programming languages, ex. Python.
                        • Experience with Houdini
