Mass Virtual Cuts the Ribbon on Virtual Reality Learning Lab at Joint Base in Texas

The Mass Virtual team, in collaboration with the ITP Office finished 2020 on another high note with the 344th Training Squadron’s ribbon cutting ceremony for its Virtual Reality Learning Laboratory at Joint Base San-Antonio-Lackland Texas. The lab is home to the Career Enlisted Aviator Center of Excellence tasked with training 2,700 students each year and includes 33 virtual reality stations that offer a multitude of highly interactive VR learning modules.The ceremony, hosted by Major Jordan B. Clark, Commander of the 344th, signified the official launch of the ITP Virtual Hangar™ into the COE training pipeline. Now under the Integrated Technology Platform (ITP) training is being distributed to units around the globe. Major Clark affectionately referred to the effort as “the Rudy Ruettiger of training Initiatives…no longer a concept, not an idea, but… an actual (working) part of the Air Force.”ITP leadership Col. Raymond Platt, Masoud Rasti and Richard Robledo were recognized for their vision and support in achieving this milestone together.Special thanks to the 344th and ITP for changing the way we teach our Warriors. Our team is proud to be a part of this advancement to deliver next generation VR training technologies that will empower the US military to be mission-ready now and into the future.
